1到那日，你必說：「耶和華啊，我要稱謝你！因為你雖然向我發怒，你的怒氣卻已轉消，你又安慰了我。 2 看哪！神是我的拯救，我要倚靠他，並不懼怕。因為主耶和華是我的力量，是我的詩歌，他也成了我的拯救。」 3 所以你們必從救恩的泉源歡然取水。 4 在那日，你們要說：「當稱謝耶和華，求告他的名，將他所行的傳揚在萬民中，提說他的名已被尊崇。 5 你們要向耶和華唱歌，因他所行的甚是美好。但願這事普傳天下！ 6 錫安的居民哪，當揚聲歡呼，因為在你們中間的以色列聖者乃為至大。」
Isaiah 12:1-6
12 And in that day you will say:
“O Lord, I will praise You;
Though You were angry with me,
Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.
2 Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song;
He also has become my salvation.’”
3 Therefore with joy you will draw water
From the wells of salvation.
4 And in that day you will say:
“Praise the Lord, call upon His name;
Declare His deeds among the peoples,
Make mention that His name is exalted.
5 Sing to the Lord,
For He has done excellent things;
This is known in all the earth.
6 Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion,
For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!”

The in that day refers to the day of the Lord which Israel was looking so desperately towards; the day when God would bring judgment on the godless, but blessing and salvation to the godly as He overthrew Israel’s enemies and restored His people. Here Isaiah represents the nation as he sings praise to Yahweh for the second exodus that he is sure to bring (even Isaiah’s words connect to Moses’ song of thanksgiving for God’s deliverance in the first exodus of Ex. 15). Even though there is right thanks given for the benefits God has bestowed on His people, the real reason for praise is not what God has done but God Himself.
While Israel could only look longingly forward to the Messiah, what praise we have on this side of salvation history as we sing For Jesus, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation and given us living water from the wells of salvation. Thank Christ, call upon His name and declare His deeds among the people for the excellent things He has done in rescuing you.
Cry and shout out, O Christian, for your own exodus story! For great is the Holy One of Israel who lives in our midst!
“看那日”， “那日” 是指以色列人苦苦等待的日子，那日，神對一切不敬虔的帶來審判，並把祝福和救恩帶給敬虔的人們，那日 神將推翻以色列的敵人，重建他的子民。在這裡，以色列人代表對耶和華高唱讚歌的國度。（以賽亞的話語裡也與摩西在出埃及記15章中摩西對 神的感謝之歌相關聯。）
即使 我們應該感謝 神對他子民的祝福和看顧，然而對 神的讚美和感謝並不是因為 神做了什麼，而是 神本身。當以色列人只是一味的期待彌賽亞的到來時，我們卻可以在這邊高唱：“耶穌，我主，是我的力量和詩歌，祂也成為我的拯救，從救恩的井裡給了我們生命的活水。 感謝耶穌，在民中呼求祂的名，宣揚祂為了拯救我們所做的奇妙而美善的作為。
大聲的喊出來吧，基督徒們！喊出你們自己出埃及的故事！
